Forming & wrapping machines

Filmatic Packaging Systems offers professional engineering services with regard to turnkey liquid packaging systems.

Brick Forming & Wrapping Machines – 800 Series

Brick Size: 10ml – 2200ml

The 800 Series (formerly PMG) has been designed for forming and wrapping of a great number of different food products. Different infeed systems allow for filling a wide range of products including edible fats (butter, butter with vegetable oils, margarine), fresh cheese (tvorog), minced meat, lard, yeast and similar products.

The 800 Series integrated servo and control solutions guarantee quality and stability of the packaging process through correct shaping and wrapping of bricks as well as low cost of operation and maintenance. Additionally, there is a possibility of integration of both existing and new machines with Wrap Around systems and palletizing systems, thus increasing the value of Trepko’s offer by its complexity.

Semi-Automatic Butter Bulk Packaging Machine – PMG10

Bulk filling

The Trepko PMG 10 Series machine is a semi-automatic filling machine designed for the bulk filling of boxes with butter type products. Constructed from food grade stainless steel the machine is equipped with a product compensator directly connected to the filler which ensures a constant and even supply of product between the 3rd party process equipment and the Trepko filler. The PMG-10 machine continually monitors the flow of product from the compensator and can adjust the speed and give feedback to the Trepko filler accordingly. This feedback and adjustment is also used during the CIP process to control the flow of the cleaning agent.
As an alternative it is possible to equip the machine with a double scroll chute arrangement where the scrolls forced the product to the filling head. In this version the carton is filled in the horizontal position, i.e. the carton opening faces the filling head. Once the filling is completed the carton is moved pneumatically through 90°. This system is not integrated with a weighing cell so extra filling must be done manually following automatic filling process.

Gravity fed, level filling solutions

This filling system is the most widely used on Filmatic’s rotary fillers.  Containers are filled up to a preset filling level.  The level is set with the use of removable spacers.  The valves are highly suitable for single strength products such as water and juice, and handle foaming products such as milk with ease.  Recent developments on the level filling valves include a redesigned bellow that can be CIP’d without the need for disassembling the valve.

Vacuum assisted, level filling solutions

This filling system is most often used for slightly viscous products such as edible oil.  A low level of vacuum is generated in the unfilled container, assisting the product to be sucked into the container.  This solution is limited to the used of rigid circular containers.

Piston fillers

For more viscous products, and products with a solid content, the piston filler is a very viable filling system.  Pistons filling machines are volumetric filling systems, meaning that a set volume is discharged into the container during every cycle.

Weigh fillers

Arguable the most accurate filling solution available.  This is also the most technologically advanced filling solution and as such the most expensive.  This system is often selected where high value product is filled.  Filmatic recently developed a weight filling system specifically aimed at filling foaming product such as milk at a production rate that compares favourably with the production rate of level filling solutions.  The newly developed system makes use of a pressurised supply system and a continually variable flowrate filling valve to achieve high production capacity with low foam generation.

Time filling

On the most basic Filmatic filler, time filling is used, where a valve is opened for a preset time.  This filling system is very accurate if the product is homogenous and consistent.  It is a lower cost solution but with a definite place in the entry level markets.
